No black boxes. Here's what happens.
What actually happens when you use each feature, and what's live today.
Swap
Routing runs entirely in your browser — there is no quote server, so your intended trade is never sent to an aggregator API. It reads every Uniswap v2, v3 and v4 pool linking the pair, directly or through up to two of ETH / WETH / USDG / cbBTC, and each hop can use a different Uniswap version. Prices come from the official Quoter contracts (v2 from on-chain reserves). Large orders are allocated in 5% slices to whichever route adds the most output, and the split is only used if it beats the best single route.
All legs execute in one transaction through the Universal Router. Output is collected in the router, the fee is taken, and the rest is sent to you only if it's at least your minimum received.
Stocks
Stock and ETF tokens issued by Robinhood on Robinhood Chain trade through Uniswap pools like any other token. Prices on the Stocks page come from the deepest pools for each stock and refresh every minute.
Private send
To receive the same token, Nightjar swaps yours into an intermediate token (USDG or WETH) and deposits the output straight into a one-time deposit address — in one transaction. The relay converts it back and pays out from a separate wallet. Requests go through our server without logging; transfers are processed by our exchange partner, which handles the wallets involved and your IP.
Batch
Opposite orders are matched at a Uniswap v3 TWAP with zero fees. The remainder is routed through the aggregator, and the contract refuses to settle if the result is below any order's limit or more than 1% under the TWAP. A keeper bot settles batches, but anyone can.
Watch
Rules are stored encrypted (AES-GCM, non-extractable key) in your browser. Reads are bundled into one Multicall3 call with random decoy reads, so the RPC can't tell which ones you care about.
Status
Batch and Roost were reviewed in-house and tested end to end; an independent audit is planned. Swaps use official, audited Uniswap contracts.
